My first article for Popular Mechanics is in the January issue. It's all about this NASA 'bot called the Robonaut. It's kind of like an Argonaut, except that it's not a brave sailor from Greek mythology.
Be sure to buy Popular Mechanics and feast your eyes on the robotic goodness!
Oh my god, if you love discussing robotic bear-rape as much as I do -- and that's a lot -- then I suggest you read this online chat that I had with concerned readers of the Washington Post.
Today I defended my dissertation and earned a Ph.D. in Robotics. Of all the degrees, I think I found the coolest one. So I'm a doctor now, and you know what? It feels good. Real good.
My book was reviewed in Wired magazine (bottom of page) this month and... they liked it so much they gave me four and a half blue thingies. For those of you with no math skill -- that's almost half a deuce!
The ROBOT UPRISING is going to Poland. It is good to know that once the book is translated and put up for sale, eastern europe will have some chance to escape the slightly imaginary robot scourge.
Oddly enough, I was consulted for an article entitled "WHEN ROBOTS ATTACK!" It appears in this month's issue of FHM. Download the FHM article -- it has a rad illustration and of course, very sage advice.
Movie rights to ROBOT UPRISING have been optioned by Paramount Pictures. Two hilarious guys, Thomas Lennon (on the right) & Ben Garant (on the left), are writing the screenplay for ROBOT UPRISING.
We sold the Japanese rights to ROBOT UPRISING. This means that the book will be translated into Japanese and put up for sale in Japan. How frickin' neat is that?
